FIRST NIGHT OF THE QUEEN AND PAUL RODGERS TOUR
Well, folks, it's 5am in Moscow - we just flew in ...
But I had to say .... AMAZING!
We just did our first show of the tour ... ... to 350,000 people in Kharkov ... I can hardly believe it ... no - that isn't a misprint! More than a quarter of a million beautiful Kharkov people gathered in the City Square and rocked!!! They shouted, screamed, laughed, cried ... and gave us the most incredible reception I can imagine. We were inspired, amazed, and probably a bit TOO emotional at times ... it was a show with a lot of spontaneity, and some foolhardiness! (We did of course make a couple of deliberate mistakes, just to make sure everyone knew it was real and LIVE !!! Ha ha!)
But all sorts of 'moments' happened ... and for a first gig of the tour ... I think we all felt it was ... one of the most memorable nights of our lives!!
Thank you, Good Folks of Ukraine!!
Soon .... our first night EVER playing a full concert in Moscow. Yeee-ow!

MEMORIES OF KHARKOV
Last night !
My lovely daughter Emily took these pics from the sound desk last night .... she is here, on the tour, which is great for me .. she is shopping for England !
I still can hardly believe the audience ... and the sound they made ...
And around Kharkov .... not that we had much time for sight-seeing!
Some great griffiti in our honour ...
and ... here we are as nobody saw us ... slipping on to the plane after the Kharkov show ... about 1am ... for the flight to Moscow. You can just see me behind a very tall man, who is my friend and protector, Veikko. Can you tell that my whole body aches !?!? ha ha.
