Queen + Paul Rodgers played a charity gig in Ukraine on Friday night.
The ‘Life Must Go On” concert was an AIDS awareness concert for the city of Kharkiv, the second largest city in the Ukraine, that has an infection rate far higher than other regions.
It is believed that up to 500,000 people, or 1% of the Ukraine population, may be affected by the AIDS virus.
Queen performed the charity gig in honour of their former lead singer Freddie Mercury, who died of an AIDS related illness in 1991.
This week, Queen will release `Cosmos Rocks`, the bands first album of new studio material since the death of Mercury.
The concert went for 2 hours and 25 minutes.
